Stéphane Gisclard was born in 1966 in Béziers, he currently lives and works in the south of France. His works are imbued with the atmosphere and the light of his native land. His themes evoke traveling, port atmospheres, nocturnal pleasures and carefree breaks. Although his work is inspired by Cubism and African art, he has found a unique style which he characterises with powerful graphics.
His works are dominated by rythm and a methodical division of space, in fact the bold lines underline the multiple grounds with a varied palette.
The artist thus offers us a painting from which omnipresent light and color harmony emerge, transporting us to a universe where time is suspended.
