Laurent Parcelier was born in 1962 in Chamalières.
Laurent Parcelier's paintings are living through the light and dazzle that characterise provencal and French Riviera landscapes from which he draws inspiration. His paintings often evoke the sweet memories of childhood, a moment in life where time seems to stop in the shade of a delicate arbor.
As a teenager he was interested in impressionist paintings.
After studying Applied Arts and brienfly working in the Comics world, he takes up his brushes and began studying the impressionist masters. This is how he created his own style. Parcelier knows how to use the smallest sunray on the landscape to sublimate nature and create a particular calm and serene atmosphere of Southern France.
